Elvis, Liberace, and Evel Knievel – One Exhibit at the Atomic Testing Museum

The Atomic testing museum has treasures from Elvis, Liberace, and Evel Knievel on display throughout 2011 until January 28, 2012 to celebrate “Building Atomic Vegas.” Often overlooked as the place to take visiting friends and relatives from out of town this exhibit needs to be added to our lists.

  1. Kojack104 says:

Still way ahead of his time musically, Liberace found his way, communicating with music, in the best sense of the word. Never one to disappoint even his detractors, his cross, Liberace found a way to oblige them too, but on his own terms, and to his advantage. And yes, Liberace preferred to perform in almost clown-like costumes, as if, to embrace and even celebrate his detractors disregard for his gift’s. Also, he obliged them with the fey and almost freakish and surreal self parody of himself; And his critics in their incessant stereotypical celebrity bashing of phantom’s, bought into his ruse. So the very resourcefull Liberace, used to his advantage, his world wide reach and embraced his musical audience, to him so very reachable en masse. How sad this musical Rosetta Stone, is so much more seen than heard, rather than so much more heard. But how many like me, will always appreciate the gift’s of Liberace, our ultimate Maestro ?
