Monday Night Fun! Watch the State of the State Address with StoneWall Democrats!

Monday night is Governor Brian Sandoval’s first State of the State address. The best electorate in an informed one. Watch this important address where ever you may be. The Stonewall Dems are a whole lot of fun and in the company of other equally outraged individuals it takes a small bite out of the bitter pill knowing that you have a network to work with for change. If you can’t make it – live tweet your responses.
I would encourage you to  copy the Governor but you can’t.   Access denied.  Most Governors let their constituents be their tweeps.

From the official event invitation on Facebook:

Nevada Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford encourages us all to watch the State of the State with friends, family, neighbors and fellow activists. Our state is facing an unprecedented revenue crisis and it’s important that we work together to fight for practical solutions.

Just saying “no”, cutting social services & education and refusing to make big corporations (that use our state’s resources to make billions in profit) pay their fair share is not a solution, it’s a gimmick. And it’s why our state is at the top of every bad list, and the bottom of every good one.

We’re  hosting a watch party.

Let’s get together and talk about how the governor’s plans effect us, and what Stonewall can do to protect our families and our community.

Refreshments will be served!

WHAT: State of the State watch party

WHEN:  Monday 01/24

WHERE: SATAY – Asian Bistro and Bar

3900 Paradise Road (in the same shopping center as Firefly on Paradise)

Las Vegas, NV 89119

If you’re live tweeting the speech (or if you want to see what others are tweeting), use the tags #NVSOS (Nevada state of the state) and/or #NVLEG (Nevada legislature).

Follow Stonewall on Twitter: @LVStonewallDems – They will let you follow them!
