Our very own social media editor Christine Kramar is the grant writer for a second place winning entry in the Be Big with Clifford Contest.
Christine’s project is to provide outdoor play equipment to children in special education pre-school. As a parent of three children who have been in Special Education she understands the importance of providing gross motor skills activities.
This project recognizes a great teacher Donna Nicholas who inspired Christine by collecting discarded bikes and toys to fix for her students.
John Michael Stuart the author of Perfect Circles further inspired Christine how despite having cerebral palsy he set upon a course of physical training to achieve a lifetime dream of walking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon with his family. Check out his interview and video from when he visited our show at San Gennaro feast.
This is a great project and yet another opportunity to recognize Las Vegas as our hometown that we can all do our little part to make life better for others while stretching ourselves to greater things!
